The Sugababes are about to set out on their quest to capture the elusive American market. They've already had some success in getting their single Hole In The Head added to US radio playlists which will be a major boost to their profile.

| Sugababes suffer with sore throats |
|
On a recent appearance on the UK's GMTV Breakfast Show it became apparant that 2 of the Sugababes were suffering with their voices. Mutya could hardly speak at all with her husky, tired voice and Keishia revealed that she had been diagnosed with nodules on her vocal chords. Keishia said that the doctor had told her not to sing or even speak for a whole month in order to rest but her reply was that "The show must go on".

| Sugababes play London Astoria |
|
This Saturday sees international girl band The Sugababes at G-A-Y night at the famous Astoria Theatre in London. The girls' new single In The Middle is due for release next Monday and the trio are hoping for another hit to follow Too Lost In You which is still in the charts.

| Rock in Rio festival 2004 |
|
The Sugababes and Britney Spears are just 2 of the international pop names who will appear in this year's Rock in Rio Festival in Portugal. The Rock in Rio experience first came to being in 1985 and in more recent years has had a role in enhancing the lives of deprived children in Brazil by giving some of its revenue to this worthy cause. The event in Portugal will take place at the Bela Vista Park between May 28th to June 6th.

| Sugababes best British group? |

The Sugababes take on Busted, Coral, The Darkness and Radiohead in the 2004 Brit Awards at Earls Court on Feburary 17th. Will the girls get the nod as best British group. We're confident that they can do it, though the competition is intense.

| Kylie and Sugababes to perform at NRJ Awards |

It has been confirmed that both Kylie Minogue and the Sugababes will perform live at the Radio NRJ Awards held in Stockholm, Sweden on 25th January. Kylie will also be performing at the French NRJ Awards in Cannes on 24th January where she has been nominated for 2 awards.

| Sugababe bullying untrue says Heidi |

Sugababe Heidi Range has denied that the other girls in the band, Keishia and Mutya, bully her. She counts them not just as friends but as family as she spends a lot of time with them. The rumour has been around for 2 years and Heidi says, understandably, that she is fed up of having to deny it.

| Jools praises Sugababes |

Jools Holland was impressed by the Sugababes when they appeared on his UK TV Show Later With Jools Holland. He said that whilst filming the TV show they were also being filmed by another crew which led to a lot of confusion, but throughout they performed brilliantly. He also said that their music was exciting, lively and slightly dangerous. Jools Holland has recently brought out an album featuring collaborations with other well known artists including the Sugababes.

| Stars help children's cancer charity |

Pop celebrities have joined the Little Star Appeal to customise a gold star for the Cancer Research UK's Children's Cancer Month in December. Holly Valance's star features a drawing of a kangaroo and the Sugababes have let loose their creativity by using glitter and red ribbon.

Is there an ongoing feud between the girls of Atomic Kitten and the Sugababes or is it just media hype? Latest snipes come from Natasha Hamiliton of Atomic Kitten who allegedly said that Mutya Buena is jealous of her and is ugly. The Sugababes had apparantly made scathing comments previously on the Kittens' dress sense.

| Sugababes say don't believe the bad press |

Keishia Buchanon has spoken out in defence of relationships within the Sugababes, reported by the press as being tense. She denied that there had been any arguments within the band since Heidi Range had joined. To illustrate the point she said that whilst she and Heidi had been on separate holidays the press had reported that she had recorded an album with So Solid, Heidi had had a breakdown and Mutya was pregnant with twins. The press just want a story, said Keishia.

Heidi Range and MTV presenter Dave Berry are an item since the Sugababes appeared on his show TRL. Dave, who hails from South London, used to work as a Robbie Williams lookalike as well as modeling for Ted Baker and French Connection He was recently nominated for the Best Kids Presenter at the BAFTA Awards.

| Ex Hear 'Say girls reunited |

Myleene Klass and Kym Marsh recently appeared together on the Frank Skinner Show to demonstrate their friendship is back on. The media reported some time ago that the girls had fallen out and no longer spoke to each other but the girls showed everyone that this was all in the past. The new slimmer Myleene, meanwhile has released her first solo album called Moving On which is a return to her classical roots and sees her performing classic greats on the piano such as Bach's Toccata and Fugue. Whilst her talent for playing classical instruments is obvious, Myleene's singing has come in for some criticism from some of her peers in the pop business. Sugababes members Mutya and Keishia recently advised her to stick with what she does best on the piano and cello!

| Ex Sugababe talks of depression |
|
Former Sugababe Siobhan Donaghy spoke candidly today on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour about her struggle with fame as a teenager. Siobhan found it hard to cope with the stresses and strains of pop star life away from her family and friends and was diagnosed as being clinically depressed before she left the group. Asked by Jenni Murray if she had any regrets about leaving the group in the light of their subsequent success, Ms Donaghy said that she did not regret anything and felt that having close friends around her was more beneficial to her peace of mind and happiness. Her solo single Twist Of Fate was released on 15th September.

| Surprises at MOBO awards |

Despite being nominated for no less than 4 awards at this year's MOBO music celebrations, Beyonce Knowles did not actually win any. Ms Knowles was nominated for Best R 'n B Act and Best Single along with ex Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland. Also, Beyonce's video for Crazy In Love lost to Christina Aguilera for Dirrty. Finally, the Best Album award went to 50 cent despite Beyonce's hot contender Dangerously In Love. The Sugababes lost out to a tie between Big Brovaz and Panjabi MC for UK Act of the Year.

Heidi Range is said to be the outsider in the Sugababes trio. It is rumoured that she hardly speaks to band members Keisha and Mutya. Heidi apparantly has a thing for Coldplay's Chris Martin and says he is gorgeous. The Coldplay front man is currently dating Gwyneth Paltrow.

Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon has split with Lee Ryan of pop band Blue. It was rumoured back in May that the couple were to become engaged but it seems that it is not to be. Lee Ryan has recently begun songwriting collaborations with other pop celebs including Heidi Sugababe with whom he co-wrote a track called Whisper.

Former 5 member now solo Abs Breen has been opening up about the ladies in his life - or not. When asked if there was anything between himself and Holly Valance he categorically denied it saying that they had just had a drink together. Abs has split from Sugababe Heidi and when asked if it was true that he had kissed Keisha he said no and was emphatic when he said that it would never happen.

| Brit Highlights |
Despite the lack of alcohol at this years Brits a fantastic time was had by all - winners, performers and audience alike. Kylie, wearing a revealing mini dress, dueted with former love of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake. The Sugababes gave their all on a set design not unlike the classic movie Metropolis and Avril Lavigne tried for the record of how many drummers she could have backing her and still be heard. But what about the winners? Well, Robbie Williams beat Craig David to Best British Male Solo Artist for the 3rd year running and hinted in his video speech that he expected to repeat his success next year. The Sugababes were amazed and thrilled to win British Dance Act and Will Young collected his award for British Breakthrough Act sporting his longer, blonder hairdo. Other stars at the official post awards party were Fame Academy's David Sneddon and Sinead Quinn, and Atomic Kittens Liz and Natasha were seen dancing to Blondie songs.
