2004 looks set to be the year of the racing sim with a host of titles ready to build on the success that Project Gotham Racing II on Xbox in 2003.

Gran Turismo 4 on PS2 will of course be the title to judge all others by, but don't forget to try out R:Racing which offers a few things that GT4 can't. And Electronic Arts are looking to join the grid with the news that they will publish Criterion's Burnout 3 game on Xbox, PS2 and GameCube platforms. Air Marshalls not wanted
The British government's proposal to place Air Marshalls on UK planes has not surprsingly met resistance from the airlines. BA have been most outspoken, claiming that they simply won't operate flights where there is a known security threat. If you credit and store cards are still wilting from over-use during the festive period, then it's time to find a new one that offers you a good deal on balance transfers. If you can't pay off your existing card immediately it's going to cost you in interest charges, so find a new credit card that will give you 0% finance deal and transfer your debt.

But don't then use that extra credit as an excuse to spend more money. Set yourself the challenge of paying off the new card's debt before the end of the interest free period which will probably be six months or so.
