Moschino favourite with stars
When Franco Moschino began his own label after working for Gianni Versace as an illustrator he concentrated only on jeans and casual wear. Now his evening wear designs are favoured by celebrities worldwide. Kylie Minogue likes his frilly frocks and Rachel Stevens looked fabulous at the National Music Awards wearing his strpless black dress with sparkling silver thread detail. His accessories are also well favoured by Beyonce who had one of his "Puff" bags with her at the MTV EMAs.

Celebrities do designers at MTV Europe Music Awards
Designer wear was out in force at the Edinburgh Awards ceremony last week. Co-host Christina Aguilera had 13 costume changes throughout the event, most notably wearing a Versace white chiffon dress sporting crystals in the bodice. Kylie Minogue wore Dolce & Gabbana - a black lurex style top with skin tight black leggings and black bustier whilst performing her latest single, and for the walk up the red (tartan) carpet a lime green chiffon number with empire line. Mr and Mrs Bowie to advertise Hilfiger
David Bowie and his Somalian born wife Iman are to head the advertising campaign for Tommy Hilfiger's new range called H Hilfiger. The couple epitomise the elegance, creativeness and sophisticated lifestyle that the American designer wanted to represent.
 
Will Young attends Burberry party

Stella McCartney opens her 3rd store
Favourite celebrity designer Stella McCartney has opened her 3rd store in trendy West Hollywood, Los Angeles. Tope celebrities were present at the opening including Pamela Anderson who wore 3 of Ms McCartney's outfits whilst co-hosting the recent British Style Awards. The new premises joins the already open New York and London shops.
 
Beyonce attends Versace show
The end of the Milan Fashion Week saw the showing of Donatella Versace's spring/summer collection and among the celebrities was Beyonce wearing an eye catching lime green gown. The ex Destiny's child singer spoke of her liking for Kylie Minogue's new underwear range "Love Kylie" and expressed her thanks to the pop singer for giving all the Destiny's Child girls some of her new line.
 
Celebrities attend British Style Awards
Billingsgate Market was the unusual choice of venue for this years British Style Awards. Alexander McQueen beat hot favourite Stella McCartney to the Designer of the Year Award and Sex In The City star Kim Cattrall collected her award for Most Stylish TV Personality from Will Young. Other celebrities present included Tamsin Outhwaite, Martine McCutcheon, Emma Bunton and Samantha Mumba and Robbie Williams was the recipient of the Most Stylish Male Music Artist sward.
 
Gucci to start homeware range
Gucci are now designing bedding and wallpaper, amongst other homeware products, featuring the double g logo. The wallpaper is to be priced at £160 a roll and comes in grey-black or brown, whilst the bedding is to feature in black satin. Celebrity fans of Gucci include Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham.
 
Monochrome Mania for top designers
The 60s have made yet another comeback at the top design houses this autumn/winter in the form of geometric black and white outfits. Kylie Minogue has been seen looking demure in a black and white Chanel dress whilst Karl Lagerfeld and Donna Karan amongst others have been influenced by the 60s graphic print styles.
 
Chloe the choice of the stars
Parisian design label Chloe, founded by Gaby Aghion in 1953 is a favourite amongst some of the top pop stars of today. Holly Valance wore a black satin camisole with leggings at the Elle Style Awards last year and Kylie was seen at the 50th celebration of Chloe wearing a black satin cocktail dress.
 
Armani is the choice for The Italian Job
The 2003 remake of classic movie The Italian Job has chosen Georgio Armani to be the designer for the costumes of stars Charlize Theron and Mark Wahlberg. The movie features costumes from all lines of the designer's house including Emporio and Armani Jeans.
 
Victoria looks ravishing in Dolce & Gabbana
The Beckhams were at the recent MTV Movie Awards and presented an award to Colin Farrell for Best Transatlantic Breakthrough. Victoria looked amazing in a skin tight white corset dress by Dolce & Gabbana. Also at the star studded awards was Beyonce looking delightful in a fitted green satin dress.
 
Prada Favourite Designer of Stars
Miuccia Prada these days is internationally acclaimed. The Italian fashion house was started by Mario Prada, Miucchia's grandfather and made its debut in the UK under the name of Miu Miu in London. Prada is a favourite with stars such as Jennifer Amiston and Cameron Diaz who looked elegant wearing a long black fitted gown at this years Oscars. Ireland's R n B diva Samantha Mumba has also been enthusing about Prada's new 'peep toe' heels.
 
European Exhibitions Promote Designers
2 exhibitions are taking place this summer which celebrate the work of some of our most loved designers. The Musee Galliera in Paris pays homage to Hollywood movie star Marlene Dietrich and showcases costumes worn by her both on and off screen. 250 items of clothing and accessories will be on show including some by Chanel, Dior and Shiaparelli. Meanwhile in Berlin, Germany, an exhibition of the work of Giorgio Armani has already opened at the Neue Nationalegalerie.
 
Hepburn Clothes Auction Raises $177,000
An auction of the wardrove of the late much-loved actress Audrey Hepburn has raised $177,000 for UNICEF. Items included a gown worn by the star in the 1957 movie Funny Face designed by Givenchy as well as Louis Vuitton luggage.Ms Hepburn was often associated with Givenchy whom she considered a life-long friend.
 
Rolex IMS Grand Prix in Italy
The prestigious IMS Offshore World Championship is to take place in Capri, Italy on May 17th-24th this year. Both inshore and offshore events are hosted by Rolex for competitors from all over the world. Yachtsmen and their crews will be put to the test at this 8 day event in this beautiful setting across the water from Sorrento.

Burberry's man in Milan this year mixes its trademark check with an outdoors influence. Styles are more relaxed with loose pants with drawstrings and hooded sweatshirts. Gucci to open new store in Japan
2005 is the date set for the opening of a new store for the Gucci Group in the Giza quarter of Tokyo. The massive building will also house the Japanese headquarters for the group. Japan accounted for 20% of sales during 2002 so it's obvious that the market is ripe for the picking there.
 
Victoria to Model Designer Underwear
Victoria Beckham has been paid a cool £million to promote the lingerie of Japanese designer Samantha Thavasa. Posh Spice is very fond of her designers - husband David was making enquiries at Christian Dior recently - planning a birthday present maybe for 17th April?
